Erlene Welch

Graveside services for Mrs. Erlene Welch will be held Tuesday July 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Magnolia Cemetery with Bro. Jack Kern officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Margie Erlene Welch, age 98, of Marion passed away peacefully Friday, July 7th, 2023 at Brookdale Senior Living in the Clare Bridge Unit.

Erlene was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Marion. She also was a volunteer at Anderson's Hospital for over 20 years. She was a vigorous mall walker and a member of The Singing Saints Choir. She was also active many other church organizations.

She is survived by her daughter Margie Welch and her son James Welch (Donna), grandchildren, Eric Smith, Emily Swayze (Richard), Erin Welch, great-grandchildren, Carter Swayze and Charlotte Swayze.

Erlene was preceded in death by her husband of 46 wonderful years, Skeeter Welch and her parents Winfield and Lizzie Harveston.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Marion.
