Ernest Edward Morrison Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Edward Morrison will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11:00 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements Ernest Edward Morrison, 92, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a long time resident of Meridian. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and North Carolina State University. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic, Pacific and Mediterranean theaters during World War II. He was president of Eagle Cotton Oil Company in Meridian. He served on the board of directors of Citizens National Bank for many years and was past president of the Mississippi and National Cottonseed Crushers Associations. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and served on the vestry. He was instrumental in establishing Lamar Foundation School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Fitts Morrison, his grandson, Charles Fitts Morrison, his older brother, Ernest Aaron Morrison, Jr., his father, Ernest Aaron Morrison, and his mother, Rosalie Cahn Morrison. He is survived by two sons, Charles Morrison (Ann) of Spanish Fort and Michael Morrison of Mobile, a daughter, Rosalee Hamilton (Tom) of St. Michael's, and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Thomas (Bryn), Prad Hamilton, Rebecca Morrison, and Brian Morrison. He is also survived by his brother, Edgar Morrison (Robbie) of Meridian and his brother-in-law, Charlie Fitts of Jackson in addition to many nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs C.D. Christian, Mrs Al Lacour, Mrs Robert Loeb, Mrs William Thornton, Mrs Buddy Webb, Mrs Maurice Kahlmus, Mrs Jack Malone, Mrs George Howell, and Mrs George Shaw.
