Ernest Willie West, Jr. Services for Ernest Willie West, Jr. will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 12:30 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverends Jim Rickles and Tom Woods officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. West, 81, of Meridian died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was a veteran in the U. S. Navy. Mr. West life was dedicated to his family. He worked his whole life in road construction for Cobb Construction and later retired from Lauderdale County. The family wants to express special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, especially Selene Latiker, Robin West and Angella Cummings Boutin. Survivors include his son Darrell West and his wife Robin of Meridian; a daughter Debbie Daigrepont and her husband David of Meridian; grandchildren Jeremy West and wife Angella, Summer Taylor and husband Brian, Lindsey Mayfield and husband, Kenny, Sara Henley, Tara Henley and Marty Henley all of Meridian, Jennifer Billett and husband Cory of Memphis, Tennessee; great grandchildren Paisley West, Kayleigh West, Greyson West, Eli Mayfield, Ella Mayfield, Dillon Bomar, Gavin Briggs, Ashton Taylor and Jacob Caden Taylor; brother A. W. West and wife Betty of Graceville, FL; sister Bonnie Creamer of Dothan, AL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. West, sons Terry Ray West and Michael Scott West; and sisters Vonnie Lee Phillips and Patsy Whitaker and brother Merwyn West.
