Esther "Connie" Bell Byers Services for Esther "Connie"Bell Byers will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 10:00 at Cokers Chapel United Methotist Church with the Reverend Paul Roller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Byers, 87 of Meridian, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Infinity Hospice, Marion,MS. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army during WWII at the rank of First Lt. Mrs. Byers retired as a registered nurse after 40 years. Survivors include her children, Connie Taylor Kaleta and her husband Albert of SugarLand, TX, Robert L. Taylor and his wife Jaroon, of Panama City, FL, Dwane W. Taylor and his wife Becky of Meridian, Mark B. Taylor and his wife Lisa of Meridian, Carol Ridings and her husband Tom of Meridian; grandchildren, Cole Kaleta, Bobby Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Justin Taylor, Dwane Taylor, Jr., Ryan Taylor, Mark Taylor, Jr., Alex Taylor, Matt Taylor and Jered Ridings; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Kline and her husband Bob of Mt. Top, PA, Edna Long of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Bob Bell and his wife Carole of Mt. Top, PA; sister, Lib Shupp of Mt.Top, PA; brother, Dick Bell and his wife Diane of Lady Lake, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roland Bell, Carlos Bell Jr. , Ed Bell; sisters, Margaret Mutarelli Malay; parents Carlos Cole Bell and Esther Conety Bell; her children's father, Robert L. Taylor. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jered Ridings, Cole Kaleta, Dwane Taylor, Jr., Ryan Taylor, Mark Taylor, Jr., Alex Taylor, Matt Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Joshua Taylor and Justin Taylor.
