Ethel Lee Reed Services for Ethel Lee Reed will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Steve Taylor and Reverend Eric Reed officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Reed, 97, of the Russell Community died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Denham Springs, Louisiana. She was a longtime member of Russell Baptist Church. Mrs. Reed worked for many years with her husband at the Blue Top Service Station, Garage and Café. Ethel Lee had numerous talents that included being an avid gardener and seamstress. She lived by the motto "there is always room at the table" for hungry guests. Good food, much laughter and happy times were spent around the dining room table. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her sons, Ladeen Reed of Houston, Texas and Douglas Reed and wife Joyce of Russell; daughter, Anita Davis and husband Lamar of Denham Springs, Louisiana; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, W.B. Reed; daughter, Joan Chambers; and sons, Boney Lee Reed, Jerry Reed and Don Reed. The pallbearers will be her grandsons.
