d. November 8, 2012

Etoille "Mollie" Gordon Services for Etoille "Mollie" Gordon will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Roy Garrett and Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Etoille "Mollie" Gordon, 99, of Meridian died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Gordon retired from Merchants and Farmers Bank and she was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener who loved her daylilies and roses. Words are inadequate to describe one so dear to all of us or to describe ninety-nine years of a life spent giving to others. Aunt Etoille never had children by birth, yet she had many children. Her children were all of us. Nieces, nephews, and many others not related by blood. She shared with us the unconditional love of a mother. She shared with us a Christian legacy that was lived out by example. Though she has gone to live with Jesus; the fruits of her life and faith continue to influence us all. She lives on through all of us. What big shoes we have to fill! We love and adore you, Precious Aunt Etoille! Survivors include her niece Ann McNair of House, Mississippi; nephew John Hester and wife Jackie of House, Mississippi; niece Paula Webb and husband Wyatt of Meridian, Mississippi; nephew Larry Cleveland and wife Dot of Bailey, Mississippi; niece Patricia Covington and husband Jerry of Daleville, Mississippi and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Gordon; parents Bobby and Ora Collins Winstead; four siblings Cecil Winstead, Trudie Hester, Bob Winstead and W. C. Winstead. Pallbearers will be Greg McNair, Jeff McNair, Scott McNair, Joe Rush, Bryant Cleveland and Ken Covington. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
