Eva Shelby Embrey Funeral services for Eva Shelby Embrey will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Chunky with Brother Matthew Hitt and Brother Billie Ray Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Embrey, age 54, of Chunky, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Eva was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was very active in her community and worked for many years at Peavey Electronics. She is survived by her husband, James Embrey Jr; children, Rebecca Brand (Michael) and James Embrey III; grandchildren, Jacob Brand, Jasmine Brand, and Nathan Brand; siblings, Joe Lee Shelby Sr, Margaret Elizabeth Parker (Willie), Richard Calvin Shelby (Cindy), Charles David Shelby; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shade and Margaret Shelby; siblings, Dorothy Ann Ward, Mary Virginia Ward, John Wayne Shelby, and Roger Alvin Shelby.
