Evelyn Marie Slay Mayerhoff

Funeral services for Evelyn Mayerhoff will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Pam Randall and Reverend Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial will follow at Sageville Cemetery.

Mrs. Mayerhoff, age 62, of Meridian, passed away March 14, 2017, at her residence.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and very special friend to many. She cherished her time with family and friends. The Mayerhoff home was a favorite gathering place where Evelyn enjoyed cooking and fellowship. Evelyn loved her fellow coworkers and church, where she was song leader and secretary/treasurer.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Charles E. “Ed” Mayerhoff; daughters, Liz Mercer, Kristie Stevens (Chad) and son, Matt Mayerhoff (Cindel); grandchildren, Lane Mercer, Kolby Stevens, and Kelsey Stevens; mother, Dorothy Williams; siblings, Bill Slay (Diane), Carolyn Jones (Gary) and Elaine Vincent; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Bodron and brother-in-law, Fletcher Mayerhoff, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Slay; stepfather, Don Williams; father-in-law, W.F. Mayerhoff Sr. and mother-in-law, Ann Mayerhoff.

The family requests memorials be made to Sageville Cemetery Fund 3145 Co. Rd 370 Enterprise, MS 39330.

Pallbearers will be Mark Mayerhoff, Marshall Mayerhoff, Michael Mayerhoff, Allen Bodron, Chad Stevens, and Andy Jones.
