Evelyn Catherine Sauls

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Catherine Sauls will begin at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Richard Goggans and Mr. Levi Jones officiating. A Private Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Sauls Family will receive guests from 11:30 AM until 12:15 PM prior to funeral rites in the chapel. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Sauls, 99, of Meridian, died Friday, January 2, 2026, at Trend Health and Rehab of Meridian, following a brief illness.

Evelyn was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed spending time in God’s Word on a daily basis and also enjoyed word search puzzles. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, which was her greatest accomplishment. She would also recall that her fondest memory was when her fiancé, Jerome Sauls, who would become her husband of over 30 years, returned home from World War II.

Mrs. Evelyn is survived by her children, Diane Davison, Jerry Kittrell Hannon (Michael), and Patti Niswender (David); Grandchildren, Stacy Kittrell, Michelle Spedero, and Emiley Solis (Antonio); great-grandchildren, Lt. Cody P. Spedero, USN, Taylor Anderson, and Mason Solis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Sauls is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jerome Sauls; Hoyt and Jennie McMullen; her son-in-law, Gary Davison; as well as her nine siblings.

Pallbearers will be David Niswender, Antonio Solis, Jerry Creel, Dale Creel, Jason Thead, and Timmy Duett.
