Graveside services for Evelyn Ruth Threatt will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Kyle Naylor officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Evelyn Threatt, age 92, of Marion passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at her home.
She was known and loved by many, especially her church family. Evelyn was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Marion where she taught Sunday School, was active in the WMU for many years, and enjoyed singing in the choir. She and her husband Malcolm held Sunday morning services at Bedford Care Center in Marion for a combined total of 35 years.
She retired from Lauderdale County Schools after driving a school bus and managing the Northeast Elementary School cafeteria for a total of 24 years.
Survivors include her husband of over 76 years Malcolm Threatt; children, Andy Threatt, Arnold Threatt (Pam), Victor Threatt (Gayle), Ruth Young (Earl), and Lashley “Pete” Threatt (Debbie); 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one sister Jeanette Rawlinson (Mickey), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by son, James Wynn Threatt; parents, Walter Lee and Mattie Lashley; sister, Ivon Breland; father-in-law, Robert Stamp Threatt and mother-in-law, Clara Threatt.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Marion.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Bobby Threatt, Vaughn Threatt, Patrick Threatt, David Threatt, Paul Bouder, and John Bouder.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
