Evelyn R. Tillman

Graveside services for Mrs. Evelyn R. Tillman will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Kenneth Owen and Phillip Dearman officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Tillman, 87, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Anderson Regional Medical Center of Meridian.

Mrs. Evelyn, along with her husband, was the longtime owner of Superior Furniture in Meridian. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers; she also was an advocate for all animals. She and her husband were sponsors of the Sandy Ridge Kids Only Bream Tournament. Mrs. Evelyn also dearly loved her family and was a lifelong member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Evelyn is survived by her sons Mitchell Tillman (Syble) and Frankie Tillman; granddaughters Amanda Evelyn Caraway (Brad), Ashley Kacher (Michael), and Angela Twilley (Brian); one grandson Cole Tillman and numerous great-grandchildren. Son-in-law Richard Williams; One sister Frances Kidd (Patrick) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Tillman is preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Tillman; Father, Walter Riley and Mother Gertrude Rutledge Kittrell; daughter, Shirley Williams, and Ten Siblings.

The family requests memorials be made as donations to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be Tim Cade, Hunter Smith, Zach Scarbrough, Sam P. Kidd, III, Grant Brown, and Nathan Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Sam P. Kidd, Jr, and Brad Caraway.
