Everett "E.E." Irby Services for Everett "E.E." Irby will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Kemper, County. Mr. Irby, 84, of Meridian, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at Rush Specialty Hospital. E.E. Irby, born September 18, 1926, grew up in the Causeyville area, and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following the war, Irby married, started his family, and began his career as an Optician and owner of Irby's Optical. In his downtime, Irby pursued his passion for cows, trading in and trading up his many vehicles, and quail hunting. He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Lorraine D. Irby, Daughter, Wanda Clay and her husband William of Meridian; Grandchildren, Denia Clay Barrier and husband Brooks of Meridian, and Tana Clay of Meridian; 1 Great Grandchild, Bella Barrier; Sisters in law, MinnieLee Irby of Meridian, and Virginia Bounds and her husband Billy of Kemper; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Pallbearers will be James Bounds, Jas Bounds, Brock Clay, Ryan Clay, Brooks Barrier and Dewayne Darnell.
