Evie Riley Driskill

September 30, 1946 — April 5, 2025

Graveside services for Mrs. Evie Driskill will begin at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Keith Lovett officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Driskill, 78, formerly of Meridian, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL.

Mrs. Evie was a graduate of the Meridian High School Class of 1964. Evie retired from the Mississippi Department of Health as the District Manager of the Women, Infants, and Children's Program. Evie loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a natural green thumb and loved planting flowers. She always looked forward to making beach trips with her family and friends.

Evie's priority was always her family. She loved her Lord and encouraged many through her faith. Evie had a gift of making anyone around her laugh and smile. Evie relocated to Florence, Alabama, in 2022 to be close to her family, but Meridian, MS, was always home to her.

Mrs. Evie is survived by her daughter, Tracey Leigh Munger (Bryan); grandchildren, Meagan Taylor (Adam), William Cody Dennis (Nikki), and Thomas Riley Dennis (Abby); three great-grandchildren, Max Taylor, Olivia Taylor, and Lilly Dennis; her brother, William F. Riley (Patrice); a special cousin, Linda Riley Valentine, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Evie is preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years, Norman Driskill, Sr.; her son, Norman Driskill, Jr.; her parents, W.E. and Ruth Riley; her brother, Freddie Beason; and her niece, DeeAnn DiPalma Smith.

The Driskill Family would like to express their gratitude to the Doctors and Staff of North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, for their care and dedication.

Pallbearers will be William Cody Dennis, Thomas Riley Dennis, Adam Taylor, Bryan Munger, Britt Covington, and Ron DiPalma.

The Driskill Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Gideon's International in lieu of flowers.
