Fay Ates Services for Fay Ates will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00 at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Reverends Jason Gross and Virgil Walters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ates, 68, of Quitman died Friday, September 27, 2013 at her residence. Survivors include her children Dale Blackmon and his wife Ann of Quitman, MS, Debra Fruehling and her husband Don of Indian Head, Maryland, Lisa Ward of Quitman, MS; grandchildren, Billy Burgess and his wife Amber of Quitman, MS, James Blackmon of Quitman, MS, Brandon Ward and his wife Debbie of Meridian; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances James and her husband Tommy of Meridian, Liz Tomlison and her husband Bruce of Collinsville. She was preceded in death by her father, Wiley Ates; mother, Lucy Ates; brother-in-law, James Butts. Pallbearers will be Bruce Tomlinson, Carley Dearman, Doug Scitzs, Billy Burgess, Don Fruehling, Michael Hughes and Tommy James.
