Faye Anderson Thompson

Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Anderson Thompson will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Jones Chapel Church of God in the Clarkdale Community, with the Reverends Ron Leonard and Jeff Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Thompson Family will receive guests for a time of visitation, Monday, May 18, 2026, from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson, 86, died, Friday, May 15, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Faye was born Gertrude LaFaye Anderson to Hubert and Mary Lee Blackwell Anderson. She graduated Valedictorian of her class at Clarkdale School. She married Neville Thompson January 3, 1964, together they raised four children, Ron, Vickie, Lisa, and Donnie.

She was active in her church, Jones Chapel Church of God, teaching Sunday School, participating in Choir and Women’s activities and various other areas. She supported her children in extra curricular activities; she loved to travel each year planning vacations and family visits. She set an example of perseverance, God’s grace and forgiveness. Many of her friends and relatives have shared their appreciation of her gifts.

She is survived by her children, Ron Thompson, Vickie Skinner (Tim), Lisa Hancock (Jeff); grandsons, Christopher Skinner (Kristy), Joshua Hancock, Corey Skinner (Haley), Caleb Hancock (Sarah), and Noah Hancock; great-grandchildren, Mason Hollis, Callie Hancock, Jay Hancock, Emma Skinner, Olivia Skinner, and John Luke Skinner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur baby, Bucky.

Mrs. Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Neville Thompson; her son, Donnie Thompson; her parents, Hubert and Mary Lee Anderson; sister, Ileen Carroll (Elwin); and her brother, Ray Anderson (Gwen).

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The Thompson family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made as donations to the Devoe Cemetery Fund, c/o Ron Thompson.
