Floy Marie Williams Duncan

Floy Marie Williams Duncan, age 96, passed away at The Meadows Senior Community in Nashville, Tennessee on September 25, 2026 after a brief illness.

She was a cherished and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Duncan was born September 15, 1930 in Epps, Louisiana to John Edwin and Flora Williams. She met and married Bill Duncan in Lake Village, Arkansas where they welcomed their only child, Marsha. The family then moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi and lived there for forty years, attending First Baptist Church and becoming involved in various charities, including Meals on Wheels. Bill and Floy moved to Meridian, Mississippi in 1994 to be close to Marsha and her husband, Tom Balzli.

After Bill's death in 2018, Floy remained active in First Baptist Church in Meridian. She moved to Starkville, MS in 2021, but continued to participate in her FBC Meridian Sunday school class by phone. Most recently, she had moved to Nashville, Tennessee where Marsha and Tom had relocated.

Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Billy F. Duncan.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Balzli (Tom); grandchildren, Sarah Joly (Chris), Laura Little (Reggie), and Blake Balzli (Miriam); great-grandchildren, Ava Clare Joly, Thomas Joly, Emeline Joly, and Michael Joly of Nashville, Tennessee, Griffin Little, Emma Kathryn Little, and Blake Little of Starkville, MS, and Elizabeth Balzli, Mary Margaret Balzli, and Joseph Balzli of Starkville, Mississippi.

A private family graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to have been entrusted with arrangements.
