Frances K Blackmon

A graveside service for Mrs. Frances King Blackmon will be Thursday, November 15 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Suqualena at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Calvin Price and Bro. Bill Webb officiating.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Frances King Blackmon, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 12, 2018.

Mrs. Blackmon was born in Sunflower, Mississippi on November 19, 1935.  She moved to Suqualena in 1947 and graduated from the Suqualena School in 1953.  In 1955, she married the love of her life, James Harold Blackmon.  Throughout her career she worked at the Boy Scouts of America, Lamar School, and Barrett Nunnery Hardware.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold; her daughter, Debra Killen (Creg); son, David Blackmon (Molly); grandsons, Stephen Killen (Meagan), Daniel Killen, Collin Hamilton, Bennett Blackmon, Jack Hamilton, and Brice Blackmon; her brother, Kenneth King (Carolyn); and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, or The Exceptional Foundation of Birmingham, Alabama.
