Mrs. Clark, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, MS.

A virtual lifelong resident of Cottondale, AL and member of Cottondale Methodist Church, she spent the last four years of her life at Methodist Senior Services Aldersgate Retirement Community in Meridian, MS. Her work life included twenty years at Gayfer’s/Dillard’s Department Store, where she retired. Thereafter, she devoted her time and her talents to her family, enjoying five grandchildren that were her pride and joy! The Alabama Crimson Tide football teams and The Atlanta Braves supplied her with countless hours/years of entertainment. She was a hardworking, generous, mischievous, loving parent/grandparent, a model Southern lady.

Survivors include her daughters, Jenean Elder (Gary) of Jacksonville, FL, and Dianne Panek (Les) of Meridian, MS; grandchildren Clark Puckett of Milton, FL; Todd Elder of Tuscaloosa, AL; Alyson Cornelius of Charlotte, NC; Chad Elder of Jacksonville, FL; & Jenee’ Elder Woodall of Jacksonville, FL; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces, including Irene Stanton Lotz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Victor and Jettie Payne Pritchett; her brother, William Victor Pritchett, Jr. (Pat); her sister, Beatrice Pritchett Stanton Blair; and her husband, Marvin Eugene Clark, Jr.

Mrs. Clark’s family extends special thanks and love to Southern Care Hospice care givers (especially Cathy Lewis) and to the entire staff of Aldersgate Personal Care for their tireless love and attention! These folks have been a blessing!
