Frances Dorman Dodds Graveside services for Frances Dorman Dodds will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at New Albany Cemetery with Dr. Carl White officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in Meridian will be in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Dodds, age 100, of Meridian, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Aldersgate Personal Care. Mrs. Dodds was the city clerk of New Albany for thirty-five years. She was a life time member of First United Methodist Church of New Albany. Survivors include her son, James F. Dodds of Aberdeen, Mississippi; grandchildren, Frances Beville White (Carl) of Meridian, James L. Dodds (Sherry) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Franklin B. Dodds (Tammie) of New Albany, Mississippi, and William D. Dodds (Cami) of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, David White (Elizabeth) of Vaughan, Mississippi, Daniel White (Ashley) of Canton, Mississippi, Katie Stark (Casey) of Vansant, Virginia, Alexandria Kathryn and Christina Frances Dodds of Cabot, Arkansas, Drew, Wesley and Cooper Dodds of New Albany, Mississippi, and Tristen and Landon Dodds of Ft. Worth, Texas; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bond Dodds; daughter, Barbara Jo Dodds Beville; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Dodds; parents, Thomas F. Dorman and Martha Wilma Dorman; five brothers and one sister. The family requests memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church of Meridian or First United Methodist Church of New Albany. Pallbearers will be Carl White, Daniel White, Jim Dodds, Frank Dodds, Bill Dodds, Casey Stark, Drew Dodds and Wesley Dodds. Honorary pallbearer will be David White. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Aldersgate Personal Care and Shirley Knighten for their devoted and loving care of "Grandmother".
