Francis H. (Hank) Springer, Jr. Graveside services for Francis H. (Hank) Springer, Jr. will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Magnolia Cemetery, with Reverends Mike Russell and Lamar Lifer officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Springer, 67, of Meridian, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Rush Hospital. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by many caring family members and friends. Mr. Springer was retired from Johnson Enterprises and was an avid dog lover. Survivors include his wife Betty French Springer of Meridian; son, Frankie Springer and his wife Frankie of Madison; grandchildren, Jonathan Starr Springer, Sarah Michelle Springer, Elizabeth Marie Springer; sisters, Marguerite Slaughter and her husband Bobby of Pascagoula, MS, Theresa Willard Springer of Houston, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leslie and Hazel Little of Meridian; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis H. Springer, Sr.; mother, Frances Willard Springer; sister, Marilyn Springer. Honorary pallbearers will be J. D. Neal, Roy McCallister, Charles Alexander, T.C. Glover, Mark Schroeder, Kurt Schroeder, Donald Vance, Tony Springer, Larry Almand, Billy Britt, Billy Jack Ethridge, Joe McFaden, Al Seal, Judge Ricky Roberts, James Ray Hopkins and Gary James. In lieu of flowers and gifts the family requests memorials be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or Calvary Christian School. Visitation will be held Sunday 5-7 at the funeral home.
