F. M. Ragsdale Graveside service for F.M. Ragsdale will be held Friday, December 16, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Reverend Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Forest lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Ragsdale, 89, of Meridian died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Ragsdale was a member and deacon of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons Franks Ragsdale III and his wife Sarah of Meridian, John William Ragsdale and his wife Carolyn of Madison, Michael Castle Ragsdale of Pelahatchie, and Richard Randolph "Randy" Ragsdale of Meridian; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Bessie Horton and her husband William of Hueytown, Alabama; many brothers and sisters in Christ and the members of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven wonderful years Alma Loyce Castle Ragsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church.
