Frank Delano Kent

A graveside memorial service for Mr. Frank Delano Kent “Dell” will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Ainsworth will officiate the service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Kent, age 73, of Meridian passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.

Mr. Kent served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. He retired after twenty plus years of working for both the City of Meridian and the City of Jackson as a water/sewer supervisor. Mr. Kent was an avid wood carver and a lover of animals. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Nan Kent; his daughter, Delice Bowers (Cougar); one grandson, Koty Blackwell; sisters-in-law, Joy, Snooky, and Betty Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Davis “C.D.” and Florence Rebecca “Florrie” Kent; grandson, William “Boo” Blackwell; brothers, Charles E. Kent, William C. “Billy” Kent, and Robert “Red” Kent; and his sister, Edwina Scruggs (Lamar).
