Fred Mckee

Memorial services for Fred McKee will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., at Community Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Karl Leukert officiating.

Mr. McKee, age 87, of Chunky, passed away October 4th at Anderson Hospital.

Fred was born in Enterprise, Mississippi, but spent a majority of his life in Chunky. He retired from truck driving after forty years. Many in the community may remember Fred as “the Duckman”, the name he earned while caring for the ducks at Highland Park, which he did for eighteen years.

Fred is survived by his wife, Miletus McKee; sons, Rick (Alice) Griffin and John (Brenda) McKee; daughter, Sherry (Jeff) Barber; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, June McKee, Mary Speed, and Laura Jolly, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
