Services for Fred Rogers will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 6:00p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Gilbert Eaves and Jim Rickles officiating. Mr. Rogers, 68, of Meridian, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mr. Rogers was a retired carpenter and worked at the Union Station as security guard. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a grandfather and friend. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rogers of Meridian; sons, Dillon Rogers of Meridian; Michael Rogers and his wife Thi of Louisville, KY, Keith Rogers and his wife Glenda of Union, MS, David Rogers and his wife Tammy of the Causeyville Community; grandchildren, Mitchell Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Codie Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Mary Gail Rogers, Hannah Rogers and Gracie Rogers; great-grandchild, Lacey Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Rogers, Sr., and Georgia Rogers of Laurel, MS. Family requests that memorials be made to Gideons International. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-6 at the funeral home.
