Garcia W. Gibson

Funeral service for Garcia Gibson will be held Monday, December 28, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Garcia Gibson, age 74, of Meridian passed away December 25, 2020, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Garcia was a Christian and attended Northcrest Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, Pawpaw - “P”, and friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars/trucks with his grandson, and discussing knives and guns.  He loved eating sweets and was known as the “Cookie Monster”. He was a jack of all trades and eventually retired from Raytheon as a nuclear engineer. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife of over 43 years, Sue Gibson; daughters, Kristi Kersh (David) and Julie Yocham; grandchildren, Lennox Yocham, Austin Gibson, Robert Yocham, Kourtney Kersh, and Jackson Kersh; brother, Robert A. Gibson (Debbie); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garcia and Evelyn Gibson.
