Gary Walter Sampsell

The family of Mr. Gary W. Sampsell will hold a memorial service for him at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Sampsell, age 70, of Bailey passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Gary served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Mason, and also worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Waters International. Gary was a very loving “pappy” to his grandchildren and will be remembered as a dear companion, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a dedicated and hard-working employee who never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his soul mate and companion, Sandra Kinney; children, Gary Sampsell, Jr., Andrew Sampsell, Candace Jay Maye (Curt), and Brian Jay; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Claude and Doris Frances Sampsell and one brother, Kenneth Sampsell.
