Gaynell Scisson

Graveside services for Mrs. Gaynell Scisson will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Stinson Cemetery with Brother David Chambers and Brother Ronnie Boles officiating.

Our dear sister, Gaynell, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2023, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

She was a gentle, quiet, kind loving Christian, and faithful member of The Evangel Temple, who's faith seem to reach no bounds. She believed that nothing was impossible with God. Seventeen years ago, diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she was given a death notice with a short time to live; but God was not finished with her yet. She became a testimony of God's healing power. Her work on earth is done but will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her son Dewayne Scisson, five grandchildren; Trish Reed, Tabby Williams (Sam), Audrey Mae Scisson, D.J. Scisson, and Daniel Ray Scisson, three great grandchildren, two sisters; Crystal Waddell and Lynn Chambers (David), three brothers; Nathan Nester, Rayford Nester, and Tommy Nester, special cousin, Gloria Wood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Scisson, infant child, Patricia Gail Scisson, her parents Robert Earl Nester and Mattie Louise Nester, and her sister Jeannie Kay Hardy.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Evangel Temple Building Fund.
