Gene "Geno" Gibson Services for Gene "Geno" Gibson will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Gary Blair and Brother Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Gibson, 71, of Meridian died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of William Carey College. He also attended New Orleans Baptist Seminary and Southwest Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Mr. Gibson worked with the Meridian Police Department and he retired from East Mississippi State Hospital Security as a supervisor. He worked as a Boy Scout executive, did Karate with Gene Carr, was a tennis player and played softball. Gene will be remembered as an outgoing people person. Survivors include his wife, Pat Gibson of Meridian; daughters Janet Frazier and husband Eric of Meridian, Monica Odgen of Indianapolis, Indiana; sons, Bobby Epperson of North Carolina and Brian Epperson of Georgia; grandchildren, Ethan, Caden and Brennan Frazier, Angelia Odgen, Hannah Grace Epperson and Jayden Epperson; brother, Bruce Gibson of Meridian; sisters Gerry S. Herndon of Meridian and Mary E. Thompson of Pass Christian, Mississippi; niece Jennifer Baldwin, nephew Joseph Thompson and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Mollie B. Gibson. The family requests memorials be sent to Collinsville First Church of God or Central Baptist Church.
