Genice Garrett Services for Genice Garrett will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Earl Wheatley and Reverend Clarence Tilghman officiating. Burial will be in Forest lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Garrett, 77, of Meridian died on Sunday October 24, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and retired from Meridian Public Schools. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters Linda Harris of Griffin; Georgia, Donna Spence of Meridian; and two sons Ronnie Garrett and wife Sharon of Pearl; Darryl Garrett and his wife Gwen of Meridian; grandchildren Leah Spence Smith and her husband Justin; Josh Garrett Spence; Stacey Carmichael Behelee husband Danny; Kelly Carmichael Goss and her husband Mark; Daphne Calhoun and her husband John; Shane Garrett and his wife Cathy; Shannon Melton and her husband John; Adam Dean and his wife Rachel; Meghan Garrett Hardy and her husband Jeremy; Kristen Garrett; Carla Fleming and her husband Lyn; and Jamie Harris; brother Levon Blackwell and his wife Geraldine of Meridian; sister-in-law Earline Satcher, Meridian; Brother-in-laws William Fisher of Meridian and brother-in-law Phil Lee of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fowler Garrett; parents J.C. and Kate Blackwell; sisters Mary Fisher and Earline Lee; and brother Howard Blackwell.
