Genola Jenkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Genola Jenkins will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Dr. Hack McMullan and David Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Jenkins, 79, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Genola enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member at Highland Baptist Church as long as her health permitted, where she was a devoted choir member. She was well known for her beautiful smile, her love for the Lord, and her love for her family.

Mrs. Genola is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Ray Jenkins, Jr.; children, Reba Lee (Chris), Phillip Jenkins (Lisa); grandchildren, Lauren Stewart (Adam), Andrew Lee (Casadi), Jacob Lee (Ashlynn), and Clark Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Sadie Stewart; Brailynn, Dylan, Easton, and Carsyn Lee; brother, Rev. Frankie Boyette, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mrs. Jenkins is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Bertie Boyette as well as her sisters, Ethel, Marguerite, Merle, Elizabeth, Minnie, Edith, Erma Jean, Virginia; and brothers,Lester, Obet, Clifton, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Barry Gough, Clark Jenkins, Andrew Lee, Jacob Lee, Adam Stewart, and Mike Snowden.
