George Nabile Gager Services for George Nabile Gager will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Community Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Will Labrenz, Elder Roger Burke and Elder Ken Mosier officiating. Burial will be at McGee Cemetery in Chunky, Mississippi with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Gager, 79, of Chunky died June 25, 2013. He was born on June 13, 1934 in Tripoli, Lebanon. He served in the Army by doing a six year tour of duty in San Antonia, Texas at Fort Sam Houston. He had a forty year career as a leader in the Publishing Department and Adventist Book Center. Survivors include his wife, Martiel Lisonbee Gager of Chunky, two children, Darryl Gager of Chunky and Tonya Gager Owens and husband Barry Owens of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jessica Gager of Chunky, Mississippi, Sarah Owens, Casey Owens and Blake Owens all of Nashville, Tennessee; great-granddaughter Ella Randall; three brothers Phillip Gager of Australia, Raymond Gager of Michigan and Adeeb Abraham of Arizona; one sister, Mary Gager of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Basheer Gager and Najabia Gager. Pallbearers will be Gary Williams, Kelvin Mitchell, David Burg, Phil Ray, Jeremy Hopkins, and Marshall Cumberland.
