George B Walston, Sr.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Carlisle officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Patrick Catholic Church Columbarium. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Walston, 85, of Meridian, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

George was retired as an Assistant Vice President with Citizens National Bank. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Germany during the Russian Missile Crisis. He was a lifelong active and faithful parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus where he was a fourth degree Knight. George was a die-hard fan of Mississippi State University Athletics.

George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pam Walston; children, George Walston, Jr. (Ann Elise) and Andrea Johns (Anthony); Grandchildren Pierce Cameron, Rob Walston, Emma Cameron, and Hannah Walston; his brother, Greg Ainsworth; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Walston is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Walston; and his brother, Dinty Walston.

The Walston Family requests memorials be made as donations to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to the Gertrude C. Ford Hope Lodge in Jackson, MS in lieu of flowers.

The Walston Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM followed by a Rosary Service prior to the Mass all at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
