Georgette Mitchell Mosley

Graveside services for Georgette Mosley will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 2:30 PM at Magnolia Cemetery, with Reverend Glenn Jackson officiating. In case of inclement weather service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Georgette Mosley, age 93, of Meridian passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Georgette was born and raised in Meridian, MS and was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church. She along with her brother George Mitchell, Jr. were the owners of G. E. Mitchell Grocery. She was also the bookkeeper at M & M Auto Parts. She enjoyed playing Mexican Dominoes. She was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and her favorite title was “Little Momma”.

Survivors include children, Kim Waters (M.L.) and Mitch Mosley (Kim) of Meridian;  grandchildren, Josh Waters (Christin) of Meridian, Cori Waters of Birmingham, AL, Kemp Mosley (Lizzie) of Raleigh, NC, Trent Mosley of Meridian, MS and Peyt Mosley of Jackson, MS; great-grandchildren, Callie Waters, Ellie Mosley, and Beau Mosley; nieces and nephews, Mary Louise McGrane, Gerald Mitchell (Joy), Victor Mitchell, Jr. (Jill), Suzette Mitchell, Sally Ann Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, Jim Linton, Karen Scott (Wayne) and Andy Linton (Sue); special friends and caregivers of love, Gracie Moss and Joely Moss.

She was preceded in death by her husband A. E. “Bud” Mosley; parents, George E. Mitchell, Sr. and Elmaze Nichols Mitchell; siblings, Rosalie Nossar, Ellis Mitchell, Victor Mitchell, Sr., Johnnie Mitchell, George Mitchell, Jr., Victoria Mitchell and Bill Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Kemp Mosley, Josh Waters, Cori Waters, Trent Mosley, Peyt Mosley and Vaughan Waters.
