Gladys Swanner Gibbon Services for Gladys S. Gibbon will be held Monday, October 8, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gibbon, 86, of Meridian died Friday, October 5, 2012 at Infinity Hospice. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and the Willing Worker Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughter Mary Piner of Meridian, daughter Bobbie Bynum and her husband Bill of Taylorsville, son Willie "Sonny" Tisdale of Philadelphia, daughter Bonnie Phillips of Taylorsville, daughter Carol "Sue" Tisdale and her husband Billy of Lauderdale, grandchildren Michael Mizell, Tammy Shelton, Billy Bynum, Gail Welborn, Tommy Phillips, Karen Popejoy, Joseph Tisdale, Janice Ezell and Susan Dunn, sixteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, brother James Monroe Swanner of Decatur and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Willie and Effie Swanner, grandson Larry Bynum, sons-in-law Ivey Piner and Bennie Phillips, daughter-in-law Kate Tisdale and sister Elizabeth Morehead.
