Glen Cross

Graveside services for Glen Cross will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Gary Lane Pickard officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Cross, age 77, of Meridian passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Glen and his wife owned The Bar-B-Q Pit Restaurant at Dalewood. Immediately after graduating from high school he began cooking at Jack’s Sandwich Shop. He worked as supervisor over an aircraft repair business and also worked for Roadway Express. Glen was a member of Senior Association at Lakeview Golf Course and was an avid golfer. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sarah Cross; sons, Gerald G. Cross Jr., Larry Joe Cross (Janet), and James Rash (Brittany); daughters, Libby Jones (Sean), Robin Ivy, Jessica Dearman (Tracy), and son, Caleb Cross all of Meridian; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lucille Gibson (Bobby), Nellie Catlett, and Elois Pickard.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild; parents, Doc and Mary Sue Cross; and brother, Frank Lavell Cross.

Pallbearers will be Matt Cross, Keith Lee, Jimmy Richardson, Dwight Howse, Tracy Dearman, and Scotty Ashwell.
