Glenda R. Whitlock

Funeral services for Glenda Whitlock will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Larry Joyner officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Whitlock, 75, of Meridian, passed away April 13, 2016, at Anderson Hospital.

Glenda retired from Delco Remy after eighteen years. After retirement, she enjoyed antiquing.  She also loved traveling with her husband, especially to the Smokey Mountains.  She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden, planting flowers and just relaxing.  Glenda had a great sense of humor and could find humor in any situation.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Robert Whitlock; daughters, Kalena Luker (Marty Stamper), Debra Williams and Kathy Ann Milner (Todd); sons, Johnnie Spires and Alan Whitlock (Tracy); grandchildren, Haley Luker, Mary Harper (Brian), Taylor Williams, Jenna Williams, and Nathan Chandler; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Laura Temple, Frances Glosson (Paul), Janette Batchelor, Sue Lowe (Cliff), and Barbara Chapman (Zane) and brother-in-law, Harold D. Whitlock (Judy); former son-in-law, Bill Coleman; and her beloved furbaby, Delilah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Taylor, and a granddaughter, Julie Coleman.

Pallbearers will be David Batchelor, Jr., Nathan Chandler, Harold Temple, Harold Whitlock, Zane Chapman, and Todd Milner.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 15 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service.
