Glenda Sue Grayson Rowell

Graveside services for Glenda Rowell will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Collinsville Cemetery, with Brother Wade Ricks and Dr. David Sellers officiating.

Mrs. Rowell, 76, of Collinsville, passed away August 19 at Anderson Hospital.

Glenda was a longtime resident of Collinsville.  She owned and operated Cottage Beauty Shop for forty-four years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Collinsville, and was very active in the Collinsville Community.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Jimmie E. Rowell; daughter, Denise Houston and husband, Keith; daughter-in-law, Starla Rowell; grandchildren, Courtney Boutwell and husband, Brent, Judd Godwin and wife, Brittany, Robert Hughes and wife, Olivia, Jennifer Rowell and husband, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Chase, McKenzie, Caitlyn, Carter, Cooper, Baileigh, McKinley, Maverick, and Hartley; brother, Ralph Grayson and wife, Alice.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, T.D. “Dewayne” Rowell; parents, Ralph and Vera Grayson.

Pallbearers will be Danny Luke, Rod Hitt, Joe Byrd, Billy Allen, Dewayne Joyner, and Joe Green.  Honorary pallbearers are Dan Houston and Jack Cook.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church Collinsville Building Fund.
