Grady Ringold Carpenter Grady Ringold Carpenter Services for Grady Ringold Carpenter will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Sephus Garret officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Carpenter, 92, of Meridian, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi. Mr. Carpenter was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the United States Army in the European Theatre. His rank was a Technician 5th Grade. Mr. Carpenter was a member of College Park United Methodist Church. He was retired as a Teamsters Driver. He enjoyed helping others and loved his family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Carpenter of Meridian; daughter, Janet Adams and husband, Kenneth of Meridian; son, Keith Carpenter and wife, Sharon of Fulton, Mississippi; grandchildren, Kevin Adams, Kristy Shows, Kerrie Johnson and Christopher Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Hannah Johnson, Tierney Johnson, Devin Adams, Ashley Adams, Abbie Smith, Alivia Shows, and Addison Shows; step-son, Mike Sharp of Meridian; step-daughter, Peggy Goforth of Boling Green, Kentucky; step-grandchildren, Cara Mullen, Adam Goforth and Colton and Kenzie Mullen; sister, Hazel Lewis of Rosehill, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Stuart Carpenter; his parents, George Sam Carpenter and Addy Blalock Carpenter; sisters, Ruby Crouch and Frances Knight; brothers, T.J. Carpenter, James Carpenter, Roy Carpenter, Paul Carpenter and George Carpenter. Pallbearers will be Christopher Carpenter, Kevin Adams, Dennis Carpenter, Devin Adams, Richard Barnett and Paul Carpenter.
