Grady Earl Hinson A memorial service for Grady Earl Hinson will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church with Dr. Tom Sikes and Reverend Lea McCracken officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Hinson, 70, of Meridian entered the Church Triumphant at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012. He was born in Meridian on January 10, 1942. He attended Meridian Public Schools. While attending Meridian High School he played football, basketball and baseball where he was recruited and played Triple A baseball for the Cleveland Indians. Mr. Hinson was retired from James River paper mill. He also owned and operated Hinson Hardwood Flooring before retiring. He was a member of First Christian Church where he loved to work the Kentucky Ham Meal. He loved volunteering his time to the American Cancer Society of Meridian where he served in 2010 as co-chair for Relay for Life. He loved his many special pets, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and Mississippi State football. He loved his family, his friends, and his church. He lived life to the fullest. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Eleanor Edwards Hinson; daughter Terri McKelvaine, son-in-law Mike McKelvaine, son Tyler Hinson and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Hinson; grandchildren Chloe McKelvaine, Tyler, Saylor and Hayes Hinson; siblings Emma Jo Simmons and husband Bob, Jeanette Williams and husband Larry and Rod Garrison; also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and dad. The family requests memorials be made to the First Christian Church or The American Cancer Society.
