Funeral services for Greg Payne will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Long Creek Baptist Church with Brother Marty Harper officiating. Burial will be at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Payne, age 55, of Meridian passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Greg enjoyed his career as a truck driver and was able to travel all over the country. He was a diehard Alabama Football fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Gentry; grandchildren, Kayla and Drew Gentry; sisters, Debby Payne and Marilyn Allen (William); one niece and one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Bernece Payne.
