Gussie Audell Waldron

Funeral service for Gussie Audell Carr Waldron will be privately held by her family at a later date at Simsboro Cemetery in Simsboro, Louisiana.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Threefoot Brewery from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Casual attire is requested.

Mrs. Waldron, 81, of Meridian died February 1, 2022 peacefully at her home.

Formally from Tensas Parish, Louisiana she made Meridian her home for almost 55 years. She was the co-owner of Mr. Discount Drugs. She enjoyed working and operating the family business with 3 generations of her family. There is nothing more she loved than spending quality time with her family. She will be remembered for her quick wit, compassionate heart, and giving spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Don Lamar Waldron; her daughter, Cheryl Waldron, her son, Don Lamar Waldron Jr. (Delita); and her 6 grandchildren, Christopher Lamar Waldron, Marilyn Hessler Shaffer (Brett), Katherine Hessler Turner (Jackson), Alex Lamar Waldron, Eric Lamar Hessler, and Anthony John Hager, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugenia Hedgepeth Carr and Jack Carthell Carr; siblings Muriel Carr Parker, Gene Carr and Jackie Carr; and her daughter Marilyn Waldron Hager.

The family request memorials be made to St. Judes Hospital for Children in Memphis, TN or Alzheimer's Association in Chicago, IL in lieu of flowers.
