Services for Mr. Hal Leavitt Davison, Sr. will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, December 15, 2018, in the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am prior to services. Rev. Johnathan Tullos and Rev. Kenneth Owen will officiate. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Davison, 92, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mr. Davison was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Masons Yorkrite, and dedicated Troop Leader of Troop Nine-Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid golfer and one of the founding members of Briarwood Country Club. He was a member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Marolyn Davison; son, Gary Davison (Diane); sister, JoAnn Goldman; grandchildren, Kimberly Shirley (Doug), and Tracie Brantley (Marc); great-grandchildren, Bailee Vargas (Anthony), and Gracelyn, Gavin and Garrett Shirley; special step daughters, Donna and Gayle Gullette; step grandchildren, Tanner and Leslie Gullette, Morgan (Kyle) Irby, Mallery Tillery (Thomas) and their children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, L.M. Sr. and Mary Davison; wife, Peggy Davison, and son, Hal Davison, Jr.; brothers, Lee Davison and Jerry Davison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Druid Hills United Methodist Church, Wesley House or Feed By Faith.
