Hannah Lauren Poythress

Funeral services for Hannah Lauren Poythress will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Davey Wilkinson and Reverend David Holifield officiating.  Burial will be at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Hannah Poythress, 20, of the Russell Community, passed away at Anderson Hospital Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Hannah was a graduate of Russell Christian Academy and was a student at MCC.  She was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church, where she was very active with the children, serving as bible school director and planning many of the activities with the children.  She loved children and they loved her. She was also an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Hannah will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her mother, Pattie Skipper Poythress; grandmother, Faye C. Odom and grandfather, James L. Skipper (Betty); uncle, Randy Skipper (Kristie); aunt, Susan Gardner (Mike); cousins, Aaron and Ethan Skipper, Jeremy, Daniel, and Jacob Gardner; special great-aunt and uncle, Joe and Ann Burt; special friend, Emily Moss and her special children, Ava and Aydan Null, Layton Lewis, Paisley Smyth, Jozlynn Burt, as well as the family dog, Abby.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Jimmy Poythress, and grandparents, Louie and Betty Poythress.

Pallbearers will be Aaron and Ethan Skipper, Daniel Gardner, Joey and Jerry Burt, Conor Atkins, Danny Ray, Nathan Gordon, and Jacob Howse.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Burt, Delbert Coker, Ronnie Null, Chip Falgout, and the Russell Christian Academy class of 2014.
