Harold Leroy Boehlke Memorial services for Harold Leroy Boehlke will be held at a later date. Mr. Boehlke, 85, of Meridian, passed away September 14, 2015, at Rush Hospital. Mr. Boehlke was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on March 24, 1930. He grew up enjoying hunting and fishing with his three brothers. He proudly served his country in the Army, where he was a cook for a MASH unit in Korea, as well as at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Montana. He was a devoted dad to his daughter and his dog children. Being a great cook, he also made the most awesome homemade Bleu Cheese and Thousand Island dressings. Harold is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Merion, of Meridian, Mississippi; daughter, Lorraine (Bill) Cafe, of Holmen, Wisconsin; brothers, Jesse Jr., of Onalaska, Wisconsin, and Gary (Carol) of Racine, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Debbie (Tim) Skalicky of Pine City, Minnesota, John (Tammy) Cafe of West Pueblo, Colorado, Laurie Ann Cafe (Jonathan) of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; step-grandchildren, Susan DeGeorge of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Pamela (Doug) Klenke of Holmen, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Eric, Paul, and Dennis Skalicky and Jonathan, Jeremy, and Jaysen Cafe; step-great-grandchildren, Patty Cafe (J.R.) and Brylee Cafe, and Kristopher and Joel Klenke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Sr. and Pearl Boehlke; brother, Richard; and step-grandson, Billy Cafe. The family requests memorials be made to Coulee Region Humane Society.
