Harold Dennis "Bubba" Jones

Private graveside services for Mr. Harold Jones will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jonathan Tullos officiating.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Harold Jones, age 88, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away April 6, 2020.

Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Army.  He worked for many years in the automotive area in the Demopolis, Alabama area and at Transmission Service here in Meridian.  He enjoyed fishing but his number one priority was spending time with his family.  Mr. Jones was the rock of his family and loved his grandchildren dearly.  He loved being an active member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Cindy Rogers (Chuck); his grandchildren, Shannon Cox (Jeremy) and Jennifer Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Zane, Jasper, Pavan, and Brayden Cox.  He is also survived by his siblings, Ann Dean (Walter) of Marrero, Louisiana, Lydia Parker (John) of Greenville, Mississippi, Margaret Trest of Demopolis, Alabama, and Ronnie Jones (Pam) of Terry, Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.  He will also be missed by a special friend, Mary Swain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson D. Jones, Sr. and Thelma Ginn Jones; his wife of 55 years, Sarah Jones; his siblings, Wilson Danvis Jones, Jr. of Meridian, Francis R. Jones of Terrell, Texas, William R. “Billy” Jones of Meridian, and Robert Lee “Bob” Jones of Meridian; and a brother-in-law, Edwin Trest.
