Harold G. Williamson, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at his home on June 7, 2026.

Harold deeply loved his family and longed for nothing more than being home with his wife, Louise, whom he cherished and was married to for 80 years.

Born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, to John Everett and Etta Hand Williamson, Harold was the youngest of seven siblings. He grew up in the home that he and Louise lovingly revitalized in recent decades and happily resided until the day each was called home to be with Jesus.

The ultimate entrepreneur, Harold was a visionary who turned ideas into thriving businesses. Throughout the years, he owned and managed several successful ventures in Meridian, including Williamson Enterprises and Williamson Camper & RV Sales.

While successful in business, Harold considered his faith in Christ to be his greatest treasure. A faithful member of State Boulevard Baptist Church for many years where he taught Sunday School, he enjoyed sharing the Gospel with everyone he met, often citing his favorite Bible verse, John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Harold loved being surrounded by family and friends, often hosting gatherings filled with stories, prayers, and laughter. He will always be remembered for his unrivaled sense of humor, long stories, unwavering devotion to his family, and deep love of country and humanity. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Janis Floyd (Joe) of Madison, Mississippi, and Anita Vining (Pete) of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren Aimee Brabyn (Tom) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Patrick Floyd (Shelley) of Madison, Mississippi, Neill Lasher-Koons (Scott) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Trip Vining (Lisa) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Brian Williamson of Gainesville, Florida; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 80 years, Louise McNeill Williamson; his son, Gerald “Jerry” Williamson; and his beloved family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Adams, Christopher Bergeron, Dan Confait, Jed Lane, Christopher Rogers and Sonny Wyndam.

Honorary pallbearers are Joe Bland, Bobby Brown and Major Townsend.

A special thanks to his wonderful caregivers Donna Campbell & Doris Grace, Caregivers from Home Instead.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to The Gideons International https://gideons.org/ in honor of Mr. Harold to continue his legacy of donating for others to receive the Word of God.
