Harvie "Hank" Lee Holmes Jr. Graveside services for Hank Holmes will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi with Reverend Leslie Aucoin officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Holmes, age 71, of Meridian, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Holmes was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Roadway Express after 30 years of service. He was a member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was a true servant of God. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Deborah Holmes; son, Michael Holmes and wife, Lisa; daughter, Robin Denison and husband, Chuck; grandchildren, Pamela Nicholas and husband, Randy, Megan Lide and husband, Owen, Amber Holmes, and Dylan Holmes; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Lott and husband, Robert, and Frances Chambers and husband Steve; brother, Donald Holmes; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvie Lee Holmes Sr. and mother, Marie Holmes Newton. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Gideon's International or Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church Missionary Fund.
