Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Helen D. Harper will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Marion Cemetery with Bro. Steve Taylor officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Harper, 78, of Meridian passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Harper attended Seminary High School. Throughout the years, she worked as a file clerk, a dental assistant, and a faithful homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Russell Baptist Church. Mrs. Harper loved horses and dogs. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, and flowers, especially roses. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children, Linda Westbrook, William (Mary) Harper, and Joan (Gary) Andrews; grandchildren, Lee and Michael Bowles, Christopher, Nathan, and Tyler Harper, and Larry and Kyle Andrews; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Madge Gibbons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alford Harper; her daughter, Martha Harper; her parents, Leroy and Bessie High; and several siblings.
