Helen R. Hudnell Services for Helen R. Hudnell will be held Friday, January 6, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Lamar Lifer and Wade Ricks officiating. Burial will be held in Suqualena Cemetery. Mrs. Hudnell, 64, of Meridian, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Rush Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Collinsville. Mrs. Hudnell worked as a Registered Nurse at Rush Hospital. She graduated from the University of Southern MS with a Masters Degree in Nursing. Mrs. Hudnell spent the majority of her nursing career in the field of Oncology at Riley Hospital. She was a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary. Mrs. Hudnell will be remembered as a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, Nana, and nurse. Survivors include her husband, Willie Hudnell of Meridian; children, Hollee Lynn and her husband Lee of Dothan, AL, Michael Hudnell and his wife Amanda of Meridian, Jason Hudnell and his wife Leila of Bowling Green, OH, and Alisha Hudnell of Meridian; grandchildren, Kimberly Hudnell, Abigail Hudnell, and Elijah Hudnell; sister, Sandra Brennan of Spring Lake, NJ; brother, John McAlister and his wife Wanda of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan Leslie McAlister and Ruth Annell McAlister. The family requests memorials be made to Gideon's International.
