Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Poole will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Espey officiating.  Burial will follow at Hamrick Cemetery in Collinsville.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Herbert Poole, age 69, went peacefully from his home to be with his Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

Mr. Poole was born August 15, 1949.  He served his country in the United States Army.  In his time, he wore many hats, working as a brick mason and a bull hauler, a job which he was very passionate about and the job he loved the most.  He was known by many names, including “Cowboy,” “Train,” occasionally “Outlaw,” and most affectionately by his grandchildren, “Big Daddy.”

Mr. Poole is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diane Poole; his daughters, Brandi Watson (Aaron) and Belinda Hoffer (Kurt); his grandchildren, Katlyn Hoffer, Taylor Hoffer, Haley Watson, Walker Hoffer, Jake Watson, and Jeremiah Watson; and his great-granddaughters, Caroline Carney and Maci Hoffer.  He is also survived by his mother, Jean Reynolds; his in-laws, Susan Huey, Aaron Scarborough, Carol Scarborough, and Cathy Wheat, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Defay Poole; step-father, Hollie Reynolds; brother, Tony Poole; brother-in-law, Bill Huey; and his father-in-law, Aaron Scarborough, Sr.

Pall bearers will be Rodney Scarborough, Hagen Scarborough, Marvin Floyd, Jamie Nicholson, Stephen Poole, and Til Prater.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be shared with the Wounded Warrior Project or Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
